Our
Story
Study Scribe was started by a group of high school students who had all experienced the late-night cramming, the stress of exam season, and the frustration of not always having the right resources at the right time. We realised we weren’t alone—many of our classmates felt the same way. Some of us were visual learners, some needed summaries, and others thrived with step-by-step explanations. But what we all needed was better access to tools that matched how we learn best.
We talked about how much easier things became when someone shared their notes or explained a concept in a new way. That spirit of sharing gave us the idea: what if there was one place where students and teachers from all over New Zealand could do that for each other?
We created Study Scribe to be that space—simple, helpful, and built around community. A platform where you can learn at your own pace, in your own style, and contribute when you're ready. Because we believe that with the right support, study doesn’t have to be so stressful—and that no one should feel like they have to do it all on their own.
Study Scribe was founded in conjunction with the YES (Young Enterprise Scheme) Lions Foundation Initiative.
